Calas

In this huge tidal area there is a very rich animal and vegetal area. There is a lot of seaweed, forming long "belt" shape formations, and coexisting with more than 200 animal species in high density and representing almost

all groups of invertebrates: molluscs, crustaceans, "equinodermos", "poliquetos", and some fish.  In addition the presence of a lot of marine species of birds and some "limícolas", as well as some hawk pilgrims in the rocky cliffs.

Endata

 

Sakoneta: in this place there is a small beach of sferic rocks and here ends a water course from its upper valley. It is a place of rest and relaxation for numerous visitors. A really huge tidal platform is shown on the low tides.

Zakoneta beach

Mendata: in this place there is a small water course forming a pretty cascade. It shows us how the marine abrasion is stronger and faster than the fluvial erosion, originating curious hunging valleys.

End of Aitzuri: This is a great rocky cliff formed by limestones. It's got some original cavities that the sea has done in its base giving to it a silhouette that remembers a skull to many people. The view from the camping towards Aitzuri End is spectacular.

Deba

One of the most visited beach in the Basque Coast. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, it's got 2 beaches.

There is an area of 80.000 sqm. Easy acces and a parking for 600 vehicles. In between of the beach and the town there is a great park full of trees and chlidren games (Alameda de Calbetón). Appart of this park, there is a lot of walks and green areas. There are surfing classes.

Zumaia

12km
Itzurun beach is in Zumaia, and it's known as San Telmo beach as well. It's a great quality water due to its high "iodine" concentration. Used mainly by local people, it has all kind of services and facilities, as surfing school.
On its left you can see the cliffs of Zumaia and the famous and spectacular Flysch formations.
This is problably the most beautiful beach in the province.
